Christine, at The Sacred Art of Living, invited readers to share in making a list of “Ten Things I Love” with an assigned letter. She assigned me the letter R for my Redbarn; here’s my list….
1 – Ruthann and Rachel, my loving, beautiful, creative daughters!
2 - Redbarn, the one that sits in my backyard and all other barns remotely related to my redbarn.
3 – Relatives: my parents, my brothers, sisters-in-laws, nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and any other shirt-tail relatives.
4 – Rain falling on the roof when there’s not much insulation to muffle the sound.
5 - Resting in the the recliner with a least one purrrrrrring kitty in my lap.
6 - Red in the dawn or dusk sky.
7 - Rapidly moving water over stones and logs in a creek.
8 – Reading good books.
9 – Really good food, music, conversation, blogs, and chocolate.
10 – Refrains, sung in harmony, like the one in “Angels We Have Heard on High.”
And one more, just because it’s almost Christmas and we’ll celebrate the light…
11 – Radiance – from bonfires, candles, and most of all from love in our hearts and love born in a manger!
